Sad yet Beautiful

In the Guardian's 'A Life in Pictures' today they looked at the artist Satoshi Kitamura.  I thought this picture from a kid's book, and the explanation beneath, just captured something ever so touching:

"After he is sacked from the dawn chorus because he can't sing in tune, Igor goes off into the desert and builds a nest on a big rock, where he thinks nobody will hear him"
